Ready? Not only for the season to start, but for my AHL Preview I have had in the works for about a month. What? An AHL Preview? Really? YES! Please, please stay tuned. If you are an AHL fan, a staffer in a front office at an AHL team, ECHL team or even an NHL team, you will enjoy what I have in the works. Tonight I just spent about two and a half hours just adding the links, records and logos for the AHL West Division Preview, not counting the hour or so I put in just putting the teams capsules together.
If you don’t know already I am:
- Not an English major
- Not affiliated with anyone in hockey and like it that way
- Employed full-time in the private sector
So that means I do this because I love it (and would really love a follow from the AHL’s twitter feed, but also would like to win the lottery tomorrow) and want to learn as much as I can about the league, its teams, players and the men and women who are actually paid to cover the teams intelligently.
I am telling you this is going to be huge. In about two, maybe three weeks, I will roll out these previews per division, every day. Starting with the West, then the North, then the Atlantic and probably something INSANE for the East.
