At the season ticket holder pickup a few weeks ago I learned some bad news. That news was that Chad “Tux” Spencer was leaving as manager of Tux and taking off to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL.
Last night vs. Adirondack was supposed to be his last game.
Well, I learned about halfway through the game yesterday that Tux was staying.
I don’t think it had anything to do with the halibut I sent him.
I think he wants to raise the Calder Cup at the end of the year.
Here’s to the best mascot in the American Hockey League staying put.
Eat it T-Bone.

So So happy Chad decided to stay. WB is definately the place to be this year. Pretty sure the WBS Penguins will make TUX proud!
I’m so disappointed to hear this. Chad was a very cool guy and was very receptive to showing up to my Leadership Wilkes-Barre project group’s event. We rehabbed a Little league baseball field in Hanover Twp. and he made an appearance for opening day when the SWB Yankees left me high and dry with not providing their mascot. He will be missed!
Ah crap, just seen he was staying. I’m late to the game with this pens news stuff. Anyway…My comment still stands. I am glad that he was able to make the kids opening day a huge success!
