Chirps from Center Ice

I will be at the Meet the Pens Mixer at Bar Louie tonight with (actual) camera in tow. The Pens announced today that they will be featuring three specialty jerseys at the event, two of which they have never done before. They will all be on display tonight. I will snap photos and put them up here later.

I will also, for those who are interested, get pictures with all the players tonight and probably have those on TwitPic as well. Follow me on Twitter for when they go live over there.

Multiple reports out of Pittsburgh today had Eric Tangradi first off the ice in practice this morning with Head Coach Dan Bylsma. Staal / Asham & Company are getting better day by day so a demotion to Wilkes-Barre seems imminent for Tangradi. I had a small debate today over on Twitter about this very thing. Once everyone is healthy Tangradi will get sent back. He doesn’t have to clear waivers to do so. I do not think Mark Letestu will ever play in WIlkes-Barre again regardless who gets healthy. He’d have to clear waivers and frankly Pittsburgh would be silly to put him on them for risk of him being claimed. I think Mike Comrie has a better chance of being put on waivers than Letestu at this point.
