AHL Game: 825
Who: Norfolk Admirals
Where: Norfolk Scope
When: 7:30 p.m. EST
Media Kit
Last Game: This past Sunday home vs. Hershey, the Pens blitzkrieged the Bears winning 7-1. Seven different Penguins scored goals including Ryan Schnell. It would be Schnell’s first AHL goal. For NOR: Tuesday at home vs. Hershey, the Admirals lost 2-1. Mike Angeledis has the lone goal in the loss.
Last Meeting: January 1 in Wilkes-Barre the Pens won 4-3. Bryan Lerg had two goals in the victory.
Record: For WBS, 40-15-0-0 (80 pts., 1st place East Division) — For NOR, 27-16-8-3 (65 pts., 4th place East Division)
Why you should care: After the January 1 game vs. the Penguins, Norfolk has only gone 8-7-2-2 since with a six game losing streak in between the 20 games played since the last meeting. They are on a bit of a downward but always play the Penguins tough. Goaltenders Dustin Tokarski and Mike Smith both shut out the Syracuse last weekend when the Crunch were in town. Norfolk always plays the Penguins tough. The Pens still have their top six scorers on recall to Pittsburgh yet found a way to manufacture seven goals against Hershey on Sunday. Tonight’s game will be interesting to see whether that trend continues or not. Getting Tim Wallace back yesterday from Pittsburgh helps a bit.
