Watched the Pittsburgh Penguins twitter feed today and among the news that Sidney Crosby skated for the first time since January was the news that Matt Niskanen will not make the trip to Ottawa tomorrow and Pittsburgh needs a defenseman from the farm in Wilkes-Barre.
Niskanen is a right hand shot. In Wilkes-Barre, so too are Robert Bortuzzo and Andrew Hutchinson. If the recall is of a one off variety, call up Robert Bortuzzo. Ottawa is a bad team. See what the kid can do. Nothing official yet from the Pens.
What is official, is it looks like Alex Grant is on his way up from The Nail. You will remember Grant getting boarded by David Dziurzynki at the rookie tournament in London, Ontario in September and breaking his wrist.
