Last Game: For WBS: Wednesday in Norfolk the Pens won 4-3 Brett Sterling scored two power play goals. For CHA: This past Sunday at home the Checkers won 8-2. Zac Dalpe had two goals and an assist while Zach Boychuk had a goal and two assists in the win.

Last Meeting: March 20 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens got to win 50 of the season in a 2-1 win over the Checkers. Brad Thiessen made 25 saves on 26 shots.

Record: For WBS, 53-20-0-1 (107 pts., 1st place East Division) For CHA, 41-25-2-7 (91 pts., 3rd place East Division)

Why you should care: Still looking like these two teams could very well play in the first round of the playoffs. Charlotte, much like Norfolk on Wednesday, is locked in a three way battle with the Admirals, Bears and Senators for second in the East. Whether Charlotte has the goaltending necessary to carry them to home ice first round remains to be seen.
