Last Game: Last night in the Penguins home opener and first game of the season vs. Hershey, the Pens lost 3-2. Niko Dimitrakos had a power play goal and Brian Gibbons a shorthanded one for the Pens in the loss. For Connecticut, last night was the Whale’s first game also. They opened on the road against the Adirondack Phantoms and coughed up a 3-1 lead only to lose 6-3. Kris Newbury scored all three goals for the Whale.

Why you should care: It is a Sunday matinee in Wilkes-Barre. With both teams hungry for their first win, the Pens welcome a team that had their number last season. Mohegan Sun Arena patrons will be able to get a look at NHLers Wade Redden, Stu Bickel and could even see household pest Sean Avery.
