Enough moves to kick out a blog post. We are going to speculate here, too.
From the Bombulie afternoon update, Ryan Craig is back. Also, Cody Chupp was re-assigned to Wheeling.
On top of that, Wheeling beat writer Shawn Rine tweeted that Ryan Schnell and Matt Rust were also sent to the Wheelhouse.
Geoff Walker and Boris Valabik still are not quite ready to play yet. But, there’s been rumblings about Tyler Kennedy and Sidney Crosby coming back soon so you would have to think that some bodies could be sent to Wilkes-Barre.
Here is where the speculation picks up…
Mark Letestu, Richard Park and Dustin Jeffrey all could end up here long term. All would have to clear waivers. All could clear waivers. Jeffrey has been a scratch, Letestu also and Park really was brought in to be the tweener and more so for scoring depth and when not needed in Pittsburgh he can do so in Wilkes-Barre. I do not see Joey Vitale being put on waivers. Surely someone could claim him (and likely would)
So it’s a lot of woulds and coulds. I’m going to need a program to keep up with all the changes!
This is where the speculation ends.
May as well throw some quotes at you as I attended the WBS Penguins Multi-Year Investor Meet and Greet at the Mohegan Sun Casino tonight.
Ryan Craig. On how he feels and whether he’ll play Wednesday, “I really don’t want to ride seven hours on a bus (to Norfolk, VA) and not play.”
Robert Bortuzzo. On whether he plans on going back to Pittsburgh soon, “Maybe.” (with a smile and half joking, he didn’t know or if he did wasn’t saying)
Geoff Walker. On how he is doing and whether he’s playing. “Not quite there yet, getting better”
So some actual reporting to go along with this blogpost as well as fueling the rumor mill fire.
Boys board a 7:30 a.m. bus to Norfolk tomorrow. Game is Wednesday for first place. If there is no news to report, check me out Wednesday afternoon for the Norfolk “Gameday.”
Let’s Go Pens!
