NHL Draft Day 2 Recap

Going to, like yesterday, take my best shot at recapping the second day of the NHL Draft Saturday afternoon.

Pittsburgh drafted seven more guys yesterday. They are, Teddy Blueger, Oskar Sundqvist, Matthew Murray, Matia Marcantuoni*, Sean Maguire, Clark Seymour and Anton Zlobin.

Analysis from Twitter from draft guru Jesse Marshall from Faceoff-Factor:

Blueger:

Blueger will head to Minnesota State.

Sundqvist:

Murray:

Marcantuoni:

Read the Pittsburgh official release on these and the rest of the guys drafted.

Here’s Eric P’s read on the second day Penguins draft day complete with his own analysis of the players taken.

Wilkes-Barre put together an audio draft archive if you want to take a listen.

Penguins Development Camp will be sometime in July. I would like to know when, because this interests me enough to want to go out and take the activities in person.

Outside of anymore guys jumping overseas, the next flurry of activity here on the blog will most likely be July 1 when Free Agency starts. Pens beat writer Jonathan Bombulie will have his list of AHL Free Agents over at the Penguins Insider. Always a fun read.

Check me out on Twitter as always, let’s be friends on Facebook too. I am slowly warming up to it.

Stay cool.

* – actually thought when Marcantuoni was drafted that Pittsburgh drafted a guy by the name of “Matthew Macaroni”
