Last Game: Wednesday at home against Lehigh Valley, the Penguins staged a third period comeback down 5-2 and won in overtime 6-5. Penguins captain Tom Kostopoulos has five assists in the game. For Bridgeport, the Sound Tigers were in Syracuse last night and lost 5-2. Bracken Kearns and James Wright scored goals for Bridgeport in the loss.

Last Meeting: February 6 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins lost 3-2. Carter Rowney had both goals in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 36-19-4-1 (77 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division)  — For BRI: 31-23-3-3 (68 pts., 5th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Penguins lineup should look retooled and revamped with the additions of Conor Sheary back from Pittsburgh and Oskar Sundqvist coming off of injury. The Penguins will be the fresher group on the ice with Bridgeport having battled the night before in Syracuse. Look for a quick start from the Penguins out of the gate.

Last Game: Sunday at home against Hershey, the Pens won 5-4. Carter Rowney had a hat trick scored three different ways; shorthanded, even strength and on the power play. For Lehigh Valley, they lost Saturday in Binghamton 3-1. Petr Straka scored the only goal for the Phantoms in the loss.

Last Meeting: March 4 in Allentown, the Pens won 3-0. Tristan Jarry had a 36 save shutout and Dominik Simon scored two goals.

Record: For WBS: 35-19-4-1 (75 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division) — For LV: 27-28-2-3 (59 pts., 7th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins need to come out with the same fire they did Sunday in Hershey and match that same intensity against a Lehigh Valley team that is looking to play spoiler here with a month to play in the regular season. Will they? Remains to be seen. Expect Tristan Jarry in net for the Pens.

Last Game / Last Meeting: Last night in Hershey, the Pens were blown out 6-2. The Penguins fired just 14 shots at Bears nets, Dustin Jeffrey and Mattias Plachta scored the goals for the Pens. Carter Camper had a goal and two assists in the winning effort for the Bears.

Record: For WBS: 34-19-4-1 (73 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division) — For HER: 34-15-3-7 (78 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Expect the backups in this Sunday afternoon game. Both Dan Ellis and Tristan Jarry both started their respective teams games Friday and Saturday this weekend, so expect Justin Peters for the Bears and Brian Foster for the Penguins this afternoon. It will probably be something weird that wins this game then, with the team that has the most shots on goal that probably wins the game.

Last Game: Last night in Lehigh Valley the Pens won 3-0. Dustin Jeffrey assisted on both of Dominik Simon’s goals and Tristan Jarry had a 35 save shutout, hit fourth of the season. For Hershey, the Bears were in Binghamton last night and beat the Senators 3-1. Sean Collins had a goal and an assist for first star honors.

Last Meeting: February 23 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens lost 4-1. Carter Rowney had the only goal for the Pens in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 34-18-4-1 (73 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division) — For HER: 33-15-3-7 (76 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Battle of Atlantic Division powers as the Penguins square off against the Bears in the first of a home and home this weekend with first place in the Atlantic Division on the line. A win by the Bears extends the lead on Wilkes-Barre for the Division lead while a Penguin win in regulation against the Bears puts Wilkes-Barre in first.

Last Game: Sunday in Providence, the Pens lost 3-2. The P-Bruins put up 50 shots on the Wilkes-Barre nets. The P enguins scored two shorthanded goals. For Lehigh Valley, they were in Syracuse on Wednesday and won in a shootout 3-2. Anthony Stolarz stopped 51 of 53 shots.

Last Meeting: January 30 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens lost 5-3. It was a McDonald’s fest. Colin McDonald had two goals, Andrew MacDonald had three assists for the Phantoms in the win. Scott Wilson had two goals and Conor Sheary had two assists.

Record: For WBS: 33-18-4-1 (71 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division) — For LV: 27-26-2-3 (59 pts., 7th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Should be interesting to see who steps onto the ice first for warmups. That’s usually goaltenders you know. Stolarz stopped 51 shots Wednesday. Brian Foster by rights should start the game and let Tristan Jarry start back to back games against Hershey Saturday and Sunday.

Last Game: Last night in Springfield, the Pens lost 5-2. Tom Kostopoulos and J-S Dea had the goals for the Pens in the loss. For Providence, the Bruins lost in Bridgeport against the Sound Tigers 3-1. Justin Hickman scored the only goal for the P-Bruins in the loss.

Last Meeting: January 24 in Providence, the Penguins lost 5-2. J-S Dea and Josh Archibald scored the goals for the Penguins in the defeat.

Record: For WBS: 33-17-4-1 (71 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For PRO: 26-18-8-2 (62 pts., 4th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Penguins look to close the weekend out on a winning note with a strong performance against the P-Bruins. Everyone is seeing through the fact that the Penguins just aren’t getting any production consistently from anyone, so if the Penguins are to win this game today, expect a player who will surprise you to have a big game.

Last Game: Last night in Portland, the Penguins won 3-2 in a shootout. Kael Mouillierat had a goal, an assist and the game winning shootout goal for the Pens in the win. For Springfield, the Falcons won at home against Albany in overtime 4-3. The Falcons came back from a 3-1 deficit and Eric Selleck scored the overtime game winning goal.

Last Meeting: February 5 in Springfield, the Pens won 4-3 in overtime. Carter Rowney scored the overtime game winning goal, but wasn’t named a star of the game somehow.

Record: For WBS: 33-16-4-1 (71 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For SPR: 20-26-3-4 (47 pts., 8th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Both teams are coming off of big wins tonight. If you looked at the schedule of opponents that the Pens were playing this weekend, you would have circled Springfield as the team that the Penguins had the most likely chance of beating this weekend. But the Falcons beat a really good Devils team last night. The seed is planted in their minds that they can do the same to the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins. Expect the Falcons best tonight.
