Last Game: Last night vs. Hamilton, the Pens won 5-2. Anton Zlobin had a three loin night (2-1-3) good for first star honors. For Norfolk, they lost last night in Binghamton 3-1. Devante Smith-Pelly scored the only goal for the Admirals in the loss.

Last Meeting: January 31 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens lost 2-1. Reid McNeill scored the only goal for the Pens in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 33-20-3-5 (74 pts., 1st place East Division) — For NOR: 32-20-1-7 (72 pts., 3rd place East Division)

Why you should care: Norfolk pretty much owns the Mohegan Sun Arena, having tremendous success in the home of the Penguins. The Pens will need to defend home ice and play a solid 60 minute game against the rival Admirals in order to take the two points home with them tonight.

Other Game to Watch: It has to be Binghamton and Rochester. A Pens win with help from the Amerks and Wilkes-Barre will be guaranteed to wake up Monday morning in first place in the East Division no matter what happens Sunday.

Last Game: Sunday in Toronto, the Pens won in a shootout 4-3. Nick Drazenovic scored a late game tying goal and also scored in the shootout to help the Pens get the second point, for a 5 out of 6 point weekend. For Hamilton, the Bulldogs hosted Lake Erie Sunday and lost 4-1.Christian Thomas scored the only goal for Hamilton in the loss.

Last Meeting: Last Saturday in Hamilton, the Penguins won 4-2. Andrew Ebbett had two goals and an assist and was named first star of the game.

Record: For WBS: 32-20-3-5 (72 pts., 2nd place East Division) — For HAM: 25-28-1-4 (55 pts., 5th place North Division)

Why you should care: Penguins come home for a weekend set beginning tonight with the Hamilton Bulldogs. They cannot underestimate this team and rest on the good weekend that they had last weekend. There is still a lot of work to be done and it starts again tonight with the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Why you should care: The Penguins certainly saved the best for last on this road trip through the North Division, facing off against the division leading Toronto Marlies this afternoon at Ricoh. If they do things right and with help, they can be tied for the East Division lead Sunday night.

Why you should care: Penguins left something behind in Utica last night. It was that second point. Look for a much more determined team tonight and don’t be surprised if the Pens win this one big.

Last Meeting: December 14 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins won 1-0. Nick D’Agostino scored the goal and Eric Hartzell stopped all 22 shots faced.

Why you should care: Penguins begin a three game road trip in the Western Conference against an improved Utica team hungry for a playoff spot just like the Penguins. Tonight will not be easy.

Last Game: Last night in Syracuse the Penguins were shut out 4-0. For Albany, the Devils hosted the Utica Comets last Sunday and won 2-1. Reid Boucher and Mike Sislo both scored for the Devils in the win.

Last Meeting: November 8 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens lost 6-5. This was Peter Mannino’s last game for the Penguins before being sent to Wheeling a few days later. Mannino was recalled from Wheeling by the Penguins yesterday.

Why you should care: Very important game for both teams, separated by a point in the playoff chase with several teams buzzing around them. Can the Penguins hake off the 4-0 setback last night? Will the rest for Devils play a factor?

Last Game: Tuesday at home vs. Hershey, the Penguins finally ended their six game losing streak with a 6-5 win over the Bears. Spencer Machacek scored two goal for the Pens in the win. For Syracuse, Sunday they “hosted” Hershey in Washington, D.C. at the AHL Showcase and beat the Bears 5-2. Richard Panik had a goal and three assists in the win for the Crunch.

Last Meeting: January 29 in Wilkes-Barre, Eric Hartzell had a 20 save shutout and the Penguins shutout the Crunch 4-0.

Why you should care: Penguins will look for a winning streak in Syracuse tonight as the Crunch look to extend theirs, after shutting down the Bears this past weekend.
