Last Game: Wednesday vs. Springfield the Pens won 2-1. Rookie Beau Bennett registered both goals. For Bridgeport, on Sunday they hosted the Connecticut Whale and won 4-3. Michael Haley had a pair of goals and was named third star of the game.

Last Meeting: November 4 in Bridgeport, the Pens won 5-3. Paul Thompson registered a second period natural hat trick in the victory.

Record: For WBS: 7-6 (14 pts., 3rd place East Division) For BRI: 8-3 (16 pts., 2nd place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: Penguins look to continue to carry momentum from Wednesday’s strong showing against the top team in the conference in Springfield into tonight’s game against a strong Bridgeport team. The Sound Tigers will be without ex-Penguin Colin McDonald, who was suspended two games by the AHL earlier this week for a match penalty for boarding.

Last Game: Saturday at home vs. the Portland Pirates, the Pens won via the shootout 4-3. Trevor Smith scored two goals. For Springfield, on Sunday they defeated the Norfolk Admirals 5-0. Curtis McElhinney stopped 35 shots to earn first start honors and his league leading 8th win of the year as well as his league leading 4th shutout. Cam Atkinson had a four point night (1-3-4)

Last Meeting: Back on October 19, the Penguins were in Springfield and lost 4-2. Rookie Beau Bennett had two assists in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 6-6 (12 pts., 4th place East Division) — For SPR: 8-1-0-2 (18 pts., 1st place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins are in for a test vs. a very good Springfield team. It’s never too early in a season to see how they stack up against the Conference’s best.

Why you should care: Penguins welcome the Portland Pirates from the Atlantic Division. They boast NHL prospect Oliver Eckman-Larsson and familiar face Chris Conner, who played for the Penguins a few years ago.

Last Meeting: It was the Penguins first game of the year back on October 13 in Binghamton and the Pens lost 2-1. Trevor Smith had the only goal for the Penguins.

Why you should care: The Monarchs pose a stiff challenge to the Penguins who have started out slow. A strong showing tonight will go a long way for a lot of fans disappointed in the last place Penguins.
