RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 3-2 (SO)

Instant classic in Wilkes-Barre tonight between the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Penguins.

A closely constested, hot affair that saw teams grade goals in the first and second periods. After a scoreless third and a white knuckle overtime, Joseph Cramarossa’s goal in the bottom of the third secured victory for the Penguins tonight.

RAPID RECAP – Pens LOSE 5-1

Total flat line from the Penguins tonight, who get mauled tonight 5-1 by the last place Hershey Bears.

The Bears, the same team that lost 11-1 over the span of two games last weekend to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, embarrass the Penguins on home ice and win going away.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 1-0

A dazzling 32 save shutout performance from Johnny Muse is just what the doctor ordered for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins. A power play goal to get the monkey off the back of Ryan Haggerty and the Pens take care of business against Cleveland 1-0. More in a bit.

RAPID RECAP – Pens LOSE 4-2

No puck luck right now.

Outshooting the undermanned Providence Bruins 34-20, the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins lose 4-2. Jarrett Burton and Adam Johnson scored for the Penguins.

RAPID RECAP: Pens LOSE 3-2

Close tonight but no cigar as the Penguins lose 3-2 to Hershey in John Muse’s Penguins debut. Pens got a late goal from Kevin Czuczman to make it interesting in the final minute but it was too little too late.

Only solace I guess you can take is that Lehigh Valley is losing, Bridgeport and Springfield also lost or are at the time of this writing.

More later.
