Away Game: 30
AHL Game: 879
Who: Springfield Falcons
Where: MassMutual Center
When: 3:00 p.m.
Media Kit
Last Game: Yesterday afternoon in Manchester, the Penguins won 3-0. Tom Kuhnhackl had a shorthanded goal, Matt Murray recorded his fourth consecutive Penguins shutout, setting a team record, and ninth overall shutout of the season. For Springfield, they were in Providence last night and lost 4-1. Michael Chaput scored the only goal for the Falcons in the loss.
Last Meeting: February 3 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins shutout the Falcons 4-0. Andrew Ebbett had two goals. Matt Murray had a 28 save shutout.
Record: For WBS: 33-19-2-4 (72 pts., 2nd place East Division) — For SPR: 32-21-6-0 (70 pts., 2nd place Northeast Division)
Why you should care: Matt Murray is about 23 minutes away from AHL history. If history is any indicator based off of his play and the Penguins play against Springfield this season, not allowing the Falcons to score a single goal in three prior meetings, Murray should coast to AHL history. But this is an important game for the Falcons as well, who are in the thick of it in the playoff race and beak and beak with the Penguins for the fourth spot in the standings.

Other Game to Watch: Portland is trying to make a push into playoffs, but they are in Hershey this afternoon where the Bears are stellar at home. Should be an interesting one.
