A fan blog about the AHL's Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins

Well, they did it.

With the 7-4 win tonight over the Binghamton Devils, the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins have clinched a 16th straight appearance in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Game really wasn’t in doubt. After going up 4-0 after the first period, who could fault the Penguins for letting off a bit. Binghamton came out in the second and pushed to make it 4-2.

But in the first minute of the third, Wilkes-Barre scored to make it 5-2, then 6-2 and added an empty net goal after Binghamton scored two more.

Game story will be delayed a bit cause it’s 10 pm and I haven’t left the building.
