Mike Vecchione scored the only goal for the Phantoms in the loss.

Last Meeting: The Penguins won a Martin Luther King, Jr. matinee at home on January 21 2-1 in overtime. Ethan Prow scored the game winner. Tristan Jarry stopped 27 of 28.

Record: For WBS: 27-22-6-2 (62 pts., 5th place Atlantic Division) // For LV: 28-24-3-3 (62 pts., 6th place Atlantic Division)

Referees: Anthony Tapper / Beau Halkidis

Linesmen: Jesse Marquis / Neil Frederickson

Why You Should Care: Important game for the Penguins for many reasons. 1) It’s a game in hand against Providence, who sit in fourth place and have played two more games, 2) It’s the first of six meetings with the Phantoms who are deadlocked in points with the Penguins, 3) It’s the third game of a very busy month of March and the first home game in March where the Penguins have not been very good. Pens need a power play goal tonight and the same effort they brought Friday in Providence for maximum results tonight against the Phantoms.

Listen: Nick Hart on the call on WILK.

Watch: AHLTV is new and improved and a lot cheaper.

Other Game to Watch: Second place San Jose hosts first place Bakersfield in an important Pacific Division matchup.

Promotion(s): None

Next Five Games: vs. HFD 3/8, vs. SYR 3/9, @ LV 3/13, vs. PRO 3/16, vs. TOR 3/17
