Why you should care: Both teams want to end the regular season on a strong note as both teams are heading to the playoffs. Could we be watching a potential second round Calder Cup playoff preview and not even know it yet?

Other Game to Watch: On the last day of the season, there is still a lot on the line. Charlotte is in Milwaukee in a huge game for the Checkers. They need a point or a Houston Aeros loss of any kind (they are hosting Oklahoma City) in order to advance to the playoffs.

Last Game: Last night at home vs. Binghamton the Pens lost 3-1. Ryan Craig had the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre on the power play. For Bridgeport, the won 4-1 in Providence vs. the Bruins. Rhett Rakhshani had a goal, two assists and was named the first star of the game.

Last Meeting: March 10 in Bridgeport the Pens won in a shootout 5-4. Colin McDonald had a goal in regulation and in the shootout and was named first star of the game.

Record: For WBS: 43-24-2-5 (93 pts., 2nd place East Division) For BRI: 40-25-3-6 (89 pts., 1st place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: Really an insignificant game for both sides tonight with the Pens locked in at the four seed and the Sound Tigers in at the three. Both sides may dress Black Aces. Penguins will want to bounce back regardless after last nights clunker vs. Binghamton.

Last Game: This past Saturday at home vs. the Connecticut Whale the {Pens won 3-0. Scott Munroe had a 27 save shutout. For Binghamton, they lost to the Norfolk Admirals in Virginia 4-1. Craig Schira had the only goal for the B-Sens in the loss.

Last Meeting: March 18 at home the Penguins beat the B-Sens 3-2. Ben Street had two goals, an assist and was named first star of the game.

Record: For WBS: 43-23-2-5 (93 pts., 2nd place East Division) — For BNG: 28-40-4-2 (62 pts., 5th place East Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins can lock up home ice with a win and a Bears loss of any kind tonight. They have a bunch of “Black Aces” in town they may want to give a look at this weekend. In order to do that they have to win tonight against a B-Sens team whose season ends Sunday.

Last Game: Last night vs. Hershey, the Pens won 4-2. Ben Street had a power play goal and and assist and was named the games first star of the game. For Connecticut, they hosted the Manchester Monarchs and won in overtime 2-1. Casey Wellman netted the game winning goal for the Whale.

Last Meeting: March 30 in Hartford, the Penguins shutout the Whale 3-0. Scott Munroe had a 32 save shutout.

Record: For WBS: 42-23-2-5 (91 pts., 2nd place East Division) — For CT: 35-24-7-5 (82 pts.,  2nd place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: The Whale are still looking to get in the playoffs. The Pens still haven’t locked up home ice in the playoffs. Need I say more? Both teams are going to be hungry tonight to win.

Last Game: Wednesday in Norfolk, the Penguins lost to the Norfolk Admirals 2-1. Alex Grant had the lone goal in the loss, Norfolk’s 23rd straight. For Hershey, Sunday at home they lost to the Binghamton Senators in a shootout 6-5. The shootout lasted thirteen rounds.

Last Meeting: February 12 in Hershey, the Pens lost 5-1. Jason Willimas had the lone Penguins goal in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 41-23-2-5 (89 pts., 2nd place East Division) For HER: 38-21-4-7 (87 pts., 3rd place East Division)

Why you should care: This is a Calder Cup Playoffs preview. These two teams are headed on a collision course later this month once playoffs formally begin. What is at issue is who gets home ice. The winner of this game solidifies themselves as the favorite for the four seed.

Last Meeting: March 14 in Norfolk, the Admirals won 4-1. Bryan Lerg had the lone goal for the Penguins in the loss.

Why you should care: The Norfolk Admirals have won 22 straight games. Simply, it is time to end the streak.

Last Meeting: February 18 in Albany the Pens were shutout 3-0.

Why you should care: Penguins can’t win the division this year, but they can try and stay up on the Hershey Bears by winning. Who gets the start in net tonight? Brad Thiessen was scheduled to start but with Scott Munroe’s 32 save clean sheet last night do you put him back in?
