Last Game: This past Wednesday at home, the Pens lost to the Syracuse Crunch in a wild game 7-5. Bryan Lerg had two goals and a game high 9 shots on goal. For Hershey, this past Wednesday the Bears won at home vs. the Providence Bruins 4-3. Four different Bears scored goals while Keith Aucoin assisted on three of them.

Last Meeting: November 11 in Hershey, the Pens beat the Bears 4-3 in overtime. Simon Despres scored the game winner.

Record: For WBS: 10-5-1-3 (24 pts., 1st place East Division) For HER: 8-4-3-2 (21 pts., 2nd place East Division)

Why you should care: Penguins are slipping. Bears have come calling. If the Pens don’t watch, the Bears will beat the Pens, catch them in the standings and leave us all disappointed. John Hynes and crew are going to make sure that this does not happen.

Last Game: This past Sunday in Worcester the Pens lost 3-1. Eric Tangradi had a power play goal late in the game. For Syracuse, this past Saturday at home the Crunch lost 5-2. Patrick Maroon had a goal and was a +2 as the only bright spot in the loss.

Last Meeting: October 28 in Syracuse, the Pens won 5-3. Nick Petersen had a goal and an assist and was named the games first star.

Record: For WBS: 10-4-1-3 (24 pts., 1st place East Division) For SYR: 7-6-2-1 (17 pts., 4th place East Division)

Why you should care:  Pens are coming off of an anemic weekend. Yesterday’s practice was a tough one so expect some lineup changes. I would expect a focused effort by the home team this evening.

Last Game: Last night in Manchester, the Pens lost in a shootout 4-3. Ben Street had a regulation goal and an assist in the loss for WBS. For Worcester, on Friday in Manchester they lost in overtime 3-2. Matt Irwin had a goal and an assist in the OT loss.

Record: For WBS: 10-3-1-3 (24 pts., 1st place East Division) For WOR: 5-4-2-2 (14 pts., 5th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Wilkes-Barre finishes up it’s three game road trip with a Sunday afternoon game in Worcester seeking it’s first win in it. The Pens have played the least amount of games in the East Division at current. No other East Division team is playing today. The Pens have lost two straight games in shootouts and want to win to finish out the the weekend to distance themselves from the rest of the division. Worcester should be well rested, having not played last night and will not go away easy. It’s going to take a focused effort to win this afternoon.

Last Game: Last night in Portland, the Penslost in a shootout 3-2. Brian Gibbons had a goal and was +1. For Manchester, last night they hosted the Worcester Sharks and won in overtime, 3-2. Andrew Campbell won the game for the Monarchs in overtime.

Record: For WBS: 10-3-1-2 (23 pts., 1st place East Division) For MCH: 8-9-0-1 (17 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Pens look to rebound off of last nights performance and get in the win column after a disappointing loss in Portland last night. Manchester wants to avenge the loss the Pens put on them last month and continue their winning ways.

Last Game: This past Tuesday at home vs. Binghamton the Penguins won 3-0. Scott Munroe earned the 25 save shutout. For Portland, this past Tuesday the Pirates beat the Adirondack Phantoms 4-2. Young prospect Andy Miele had a goal and an assist and was named the third star of the game.

Record: For WBS: 10-3-1-1 (22 pts., 1st place East Division) — For POR: 6-7-0-1 (13 pts., 5th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Penguins take on the new look Portland Pirates in Maine this evening and look to extend the road win streak to nine games. Before they do this, they will need to keep Andy Miele, ex-WBS Penguin M-A Pouliot and others in check. They will most likely face Curtis McElhinney in goal, who spent the last few seasons in the NHL.

Last Game: This past Saturday at home vs. Norfolk the Penguins lost 5-3. AHL Player of the Week Ben Street had a goal in the loss. For Binghamton, the B-Sens lost in Ottawa vs. the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-2. Hot prospect Nikita Filatov had an assist in the loss.

Last Meeting: Back on November 5 in Binghamton, the Pens won in a shootout 2-1. Zach Sill had a goal in regulation and Bryan Lerg had the game winning shootout goal in the win.

Record: For WBS: 9-3-1-1 (20 pts., 1st place East Division) — For BNG: 5-9-1-1(12 pts., 5th place East Division)

Why you should care: The defending champs come to town after being shellacked in their parent’s living room. I’d expect a better effort from the B-Sens. Scott Munroe starts for the Pens tonight. How does he do, having not played in some time?

Last Game: Last night, the Pens won in overtime 4-3 in Hershey. Ben Street figured in on every goal with 4 assists. For Norfolk, they lost in the New York capital 2-1 to Albany. Cory Conacher had the lone goal in the loss for the Admirals.

Last Meeting: This past Wednesday in Norfolk, the Pens won 4-2. Ben Street had a goal and two assists and was the games third star.

Record: For WBS: 9-2-1-1 (20 pts., 1st place East Division) — For NOR: 8-6-0-1 (17 pts., 3rd place East Division)

Why you should care: The Admirals are going to be out for it tonight. They do not want to drop three straight and further away from contention in the division. Penguins are riding high after winning last night in Hershey in what could could be described as some as a lackluster performance. Pens better be ready or it could get ugly.
