Last Game: For WBS: Wednesday in Albany, the Pens cruised to a 5-1 victory over the Devils. Defenseman Corey Potter registered two assists. For BNG: This past Saturday in Albany the Sens lost 4-3. Defenseman Derek Smith had two assists.

Record: For WBS, 18-4-0-0 (36 pts., 1st place East Division) For BNG, 10-10-2-1 (23 pts., 5th place East Division)

Last Meeting: November 25 in Binghamton for the annual Thanksgiving Day game. The Pens could not figure out Barry Brust after firing 54 shots at him, and would lose 5-2.

Why you should care: The Senators are quickly becoming not being fun to play against. WBS has had virtual success with other teams in the league at 18-4 overall but only 2-2 vs. Binghamton. Goaltender Barry Brust is 2-0-1 against us with a 1.30 GAA and a 0.967 SV%. He is expected to start in net tonight for the Sens. Tonight’s game should have “potential playoff matchup” written all over it. Plus the Pens and Sens are teaming up for firefighters and policemen, wearing special jerseys this evening.

When: 7:00 p.m. EST

Last Game: For WBS: Sunday in Springfield the Pens came back late from a 2-1 deficit to win 4-2. Keven Veilleux had a big game. Dustin Jeffrey continued piling points on registering a goal and an assist. For ALB: This past Saturday the host Devils defeated Binghamton 4-3. Goaltender Dave Caruso stopped 31 of 34 shots and was named first star of the game.

Record: For WBS, 17-4-0-0 (34 pts., 1st place East Division) — For ALB, 9-11-0-0 (18 pts., 6th place East Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins have never lost to the Devils AHL team. They want this trend to continue tonight and into the remainder of the year. Albany is slowed by injuries and call-ups to som key guys, so look for Wilkes-barre to pounce and take two points out of the Capital District this evening.

Away Game 11

AHL Game: 330

Who: Springfield Falcons

Where: MassMutual Center

When: 3:00 p.m. EST

Last Game: For WBS: Last night at home vs. Rochester, the Pens won 4-3. Geoff Walker finally found the goal column and had an assist. For Springfield: Last night vs. Norfolk the Falcons lost 5-2. Tomas Kubalik and Nick Tarnasky had goals for the Falcons.

Record: For WBS, 16-4-0-0 (32 pts., 1st place East Division) — For SPR, 11-10-0-1 (23 pts., 4th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Springfield has been kicking around the bottom of the Atlantic Division this season, while WBS is one of the elite AHL teams. This is an afternoon game and usually in these contests, it’s who ever scores first usually wins. Odds are high that WBS scores first and cruises to victory.

AHL Game: 322

Who: Rochester Americans

Where: Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza

When: 7:05 p.m. EST

Last Game: For WBS: On Thanksgiving, the Pens lost 5-2. Brett Sterling had a goal and an assist. For Rochester: last night vs. Toronto, the Amerks lost 3-2. A.J. Jenks had a goal and an assist in the loss for Rochester.

Record: For WBS, 15-4-0-0 (30 pts., 1st place East Division)  — For RCH, 9-11-1-0 (19 pts., 7th place North Division)

Last Meeting: November 7 in Rochester, the Pens won 2-1. Rochester’s Eric Selleck threw a bunch of big hits and will be a marked man in tonight’s contest.

Why you should care: Wilkes-Barre / Scranton has yet to lose two games in a row. Rochester has only won two of it’s last seven so they are down a bit. Tonight is supposed to be a packed house and a televised game locally. How the Penguins respond to the loss Thursday in Binghamton should be very interesting to see within the first 10 minutes of the game to a downtrodden opponent.

Where: Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena

When: 6:05 p.m. EST

Last Game: For WBS: Last night vs. Albany, the Pens shutout the Devils 3-0.  Dustin Jeffrey had a goal and an assist and John Curry had the shutout for the Pens. For Binghamton: Their last game was Sunday vs. us in Wilkes-Barre. Geoff Kinrade scored the lone goal for the Senators.

Record: For WBS, 15-3-0-0 (30 pts., 1st place East Division) For BNG, 9-8-2-1 (21 pts., 5th place East Division)

Last Meeting: November 21 in Wilkes-Barre Township. The Pens won 2-1. Zach Sill and Jesse Boulerice scored goals. Corey Locke saw his 12-game point streak end for the Senators.

Why you should care: This is the first meeting in Binghamton. The Sens sat all week stewing on the loss we handed them home Sunday. They haven’t played anyone since. This is their annual Thanksgiving Day game in front of their fans. They want to show them that they can beat us. We want to come in and make turkeys out of the Senators.

AHL Game: 294

Who: Albany Devils

Where: Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza

When: 7:05 p.m. EST

Last Game: For WBS: This past Sunday the Pens won at home vs. Binghamton. The fourth line of Chris Collins, Zach Sill and Jesse Boulerice were the three stars of the game. For Albany: This past Saturday in Rochester the Devils shutout the Americans. Michael Swift had two goals. Jeff Frazee had the shutout in goal.

Record: For WBS, 14-3-0-0 (28 pts., 1st place East Division) — For ALB, 8-9-0-0 (16 pts., 6th place East Division)

Last Meeting: November 16 in Albany, the Pens dominated the Devils and won 4-1. Dustin Jeffrey had a goal and two assists.

Why you should care: Before your Thanksgiving meal, come on out and watch the Pens feast on the Devils. OK, bad joke, but not much has changed for Albany personnel-wise in eight days since last Tuesday’s thrashing. Louis Robitaille will be back gooning it up in front of the Wilkes-Barre faithful.

Last Game: For WBS: Last night in Hershey, the Pens won 4-3. Keven Veilleux and Brian Strait both scored their first goals of the year. For Bingo, the Sens hosted the Hartford WolfPack last night and lost 3-2 in overtime. Captain Kyan Keller had a goal for the Sens in the loss.

Last Meeting: November 12 in Wilkes-Barre Township. The Pens flat out stunk that game, and were soundly beaten 5-1. Rookie Bobby Butler had two goals.

Why you should care: Penguins are out to get revenge after getting slapped in the mouth by the Binghamton Senators last time these two teams met. After beating Hershey in Hershey last night, the Pens want to continue to ride the wave of momentum and finish out the weekend on a winning note.
