Last Game: Last night in Adirondack, the Pens won in overtime 3-2. Alex Grant scored the overtime game winner. For Albany, they hosted the Providence Bruins and lost 4-1. Jon Merill scored the only goal for the Devils in the loss.

Last Meeting: March 2 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens won in a shootout 2-1. Adam Payerl was named first star of the game with the game winning shootout goal.

Record: For WBS: 38-28-2-2 (80 pts., 3rd place East Division) For ALB: 29-27-1-11 (70 pts., 3rd place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: Penguins continue the weekend three in three against what should be a sellout crowd tonight. They need another strong start and a 60 minute finish to snuff out the Devils tonight. If they can do this, they will be assured a playoff berth in days, not weeks.

Last Game: Tuesday in Norfolk, the Pens won 3-2. Chad Kolarik had two assists. For Adirondack last Saturday they hosted the Bridegport Sound Tigers and won 4-1. Kyle Flanagan had a goal and an assist and was named first star of the game.

Last Meeting: February 22 in Philadelphia, the Pens won 2-1. Brad Thiessen stopped 29 of 30 shots and was named first star of the game.

Record: For WBS: 37-28-2-2 (78 pts., 3rd place East Division) — For ADK: 28-34-2-3 (61 pts., 5th place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: The beginning of the final three in three of the regular season find the Penguins in Glens Falls, where they face an Adirondack Phantoms team playing for pride at this point. Could be a trap game for the Pens if they get complacent.

Last Game: Saturday in Binghamton, the Pens beat the B-Sens 3-2 in a shootout. Trevor Smith scored his twentieth goal of the season. For Norfolk, Saturday they hosted the Syracuse Crunch and won 2-0. Frederick Andersen had a 41 save shutout.

Last Meeting: March 23 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens lost 4-1. Alex Grant had the only Penguins goal in the contest.

Record: For WBS: 36-28-2-2 (76 pts., 3rd place East Division) For NOR: 33-29-4-1 (71 pts., 5th place East Division)

Why you should care: This should shape up to be an interesting matchup between two teams battling for the playoffs. The Penguins presently are in, but as we have seen, play down to teams below them in the standings. The Norfolk Admirals are coming off a weekend sweep of the first place Syracuse Crunch. The Admirals are not to be taken lightly.

Last Game: Last night at home vs. Providence, the Penguins lost in a shootout 3-2. Dylan Reese had two power play goals for the Pens in the loss. For Binghamton, they hosted the Adirondack Phantoms last night and won 5-2. Cole Schneider had two goals, an assist, and was a +3. He was also first star of the game.

Last Meeting: Wednesday in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens won 4-2. Chad Kolarik had a goal and an assist.

Record: For WBS: 35-28-2-2 (74 pts., 3rd place East Division) For BNG: 20-28-1-5 (86 pts., 1st place East Division)

Why you should care: Pens wrap up the season series with the B-Sens. This game is important because you want the Pens to cement themselves in playoffs. How do they do that? Get to the five seed. Who is the four seed? The Binghamton Senators. This game could very well, if the Pens do everything right here and things break the right way in the conference, be a first round playoff preview.

Last Game: Saturday at home vs. Norfolk, the Pens lost 4-1. Alex Grant had the only goal. For the B-Sens, Sunday they were in Connecticut and lost to the Whale 6-1. Mark Stone had the only goal for the visitors in the loss.

Last Meeting: February 16 in Binghamton, the Penguins won 5-2. Chad Kolarik had a goal and three assists for the Pens in the win.

Why you should care: The Penguins next four games are crucial as to whether or not they will be in the playoffs at the end of the season. First up is the “pesky” B-Sens, who have been given the Penguins fits all season long.

Last Game: Wednesday in Syracuse the Pens were shutout 1-0. For Norfolk, Wednesday they hosted the Adirondack Phantoms and won 3-0. Frederik Andersen had a 32 save shutout.

Last Meeting: February 27 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens lost 2-1. The aforementioned Frederik Andersen made 26 saves on 27 shots.

Record: For WBS: 34-27-2-1 (71 pts., 3rd place East Division) For NOR: 30-28-4-1 (65 pts., 5th place East Division)

Why you should care: This is the only game of the weekend for the Penguins which will be a televised game in front of a sold out crowd. They need to win this game and cool off the Admirals. They also need to win this game because they have not had much success in against divisional foes this season. Finally, Portland, Hershey and Connecticut are looking to distance themselves or catch and pass the Pens in the playoff jockeying.
