Last Game: Saturday in Portland, the Pens came back from a 0-2 hole and won 3-2. Trevor Smith had a goal and an assist. For Syracuse, Saturday they hosted Albany and won 6-2. Brett Connolly had two goals and two assists.

Last Meeting: February 17 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens were shutout 3-0.

Record: For WBS:  (34-26-2-1, 71 pts., 3rd place East Division) — For SYR: 37-17-3-5 (82 pts., 1st place East Division)

Why you should care: Penguins had a successful New England road trip, going 4-2. Now they cap off the long road trip against one of the best teams in the AHL. Should be a great test for the Pens against a solid Crunch team.

Last Game: Last night in Worcester, the Pens won 5-3. Chad Kolarik had a goal and an assist. The Pirates last played Wednesday, when they hosted the Adirondack Phantoms and won 6-3. Alexandre Bolduc had a goal and an assist in the win.

Last Meeting: March 9 in Portland, the Pens won in overtime 4-3. The Penguins tied the game late on a Zach Sill shot then Chad Kolarik won the game in overtime.

Record: For WBS: 33-26-2-1 (69 pts., 3rd place East Division) For POR: 34-21-3-2 (73 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Penguins looking to end this New England road trip with another win against the Pirates. They also can make up ground on the Pirates for fifth in the conference and can draw within two points with a regulation win tonight.

Last Meeting: January 5 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens won 3-0. Brad Thiessen had a 30 save shutout.

Why you should care: Very important two game series for both teams. For the Penguins, they want to insulate themselves from the 8 seed. For Worcester, it is a chance to gain ground on teams like the Penguins, whom they are only separated by six points.

Last Game: Last night in Portland, the Pens won 4-3 in overtime. Chad Kolarik scored to game winner. For Manchester, they were in Portland on Friday and won in overtime 4-3 also. Stefan Legein scored the overtime game winner in that contest.

Last Meeting: February 1 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens won 4-1. Four different Penguins found the goal column. Ex-Monarch Jeff Zatkoff made 21 saves in the win.

Record: For WBS: 31-25-2-1 (65 pts., 3rd place East Division) For MCH: 28-24-3-3 (62 pts., 3rd place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: This one is easy. The Monarchs are nipping at the Penguins heels in the conference. With a win, the Pens can put some distance on the Monarchs and the rest of the field at the eight seed and lower for the final playoff spot.

Last Game: Last night in Providence, the Pens were shutout 2-0. For Portland, they were in Manchester last night and lost in overtime. Darian Dziurzynski had a goal and was named second star of the game.

Last Meeting: December 8 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pirates won in a shootout 4-3. The Pens were up 3-0 then coughed up three goals that forced the shootout. Ex-Pen Chris Conner scored the game winner in the shootout.

Record: For WBS: 30-25-2-1 (63 pts., 4th place East Division) For POR: 33-20-2-2 (70 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Pens have to find the offense. Plain and simple. Other teams are knocking at the door for the seven-eight seed and the Pens need to get out of this position quick. Hopefully things turnaround in Maine.

Last Game: Saturday at home vs. Albany, the Pens won 2-1 in a shootout. Trevor Smith had a goal in regulation and Adam Payerl won it in Round 6 of the shootout. For Providence, the P-Bruins drop kicked the Portland Pirates at home Sunday 7-1. Craig Cunningham had a hat trick, Justin Florek had a four point night (2-2-4) and Niklas Svedberg stopped 29 of 30 shots.

Record: For WBS: 30-24-2-1 (63 pts., 4th place East Division) For PRO: 33-18-0-5 (71 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins take to the road starting off a seven game stand away from Mohegan Sun Arena. In their way, is the Atlantic Division leader the Providence Bruins. The P-Bruins are a strong team that will provide a stiff challenge to the Penguins.
