RAPID RECAP: Pens LOSE 3-2 (OT)

Close contest with Utica tonight. Bit of a goaltenders duel. Penguins go down in the second late on a blown icing call, then 2-0 in the third before clawing back to score in the final minute of regulation only to lose in overtime. 3-2 the final.

One point isn’t going to cut it for a sixth place team. Full piece in a bit.

RAPID RECAP: Pens LOSE 2-1

Pens lose 2-1. Tristan Jarry was dialed in stopping 35 of 37 in but losses of Teddy Blueger to recall and J-S Dea to suspension (more on that in a big) hamper WBS offensively. Hungry Bridgeport team who’d been reeling, win.

RAPID RECAP- Pens WIN 7-2

Big game by J-S Dea tonight in the absence of Teddy Blueger. Dea gets two goals, Joseph Blandisi scores again for Wilkes-Barre, who throttle the Cleveland Monsters 7-2. Four straight wins now for the Pens.

No help on the scoreboard however, Springfield, Providence and Lehigh Valley all won tonight.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 2-1 (OT)

After a scoreless first two periods and after being badly outshot, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms scores a goal. The pun headline on that if the score line held would have been “The Stolarz’d One”

The Penguins finished with 46 shots, and it was the 46th, coming off All Star defenseman Ethan Prow’s stick that gives the Penguins the 2-1 overtime win.

Adam Johnson stayed hot, scoring a goal that tied it.

RAPID RECAP – Pens LOSE 5-4

Penguins lost this game 5-4 to the Rochester Americans tonight in a closely contested, fight affair.

Collateral damage was losing Matt Abt and Jeff Taylor to injuries. Taylor was trucker by Dalton Smith in the second period, I didn’t see what happened to Abt.

RAPID RECAP – Pens LOSE 5-3

Blame the referees all you want tonight, the Penguins were rolling in the third, digging out of a hole and cut it to one but could not get a save from back up Anthony Peters and on a night where Lehigh Valley and Bridgeport lose in front of the Penguins, they lose 5-3 to Milwaukee.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 3-2 (SO)

Instant classic in Wilkes-Barre tonight between the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Penguins.

A closely constested, hot affair that saw teams grade goals in the first and second periods. After a scoreless third and a white knuckle overtime, Joseph Cramarossa’s goal in the bottom of the third secured victory for the Penguins tonight.
