RAPID RECAP – Pens LOSE 4-3

Well Texas is on hell of a run here of late.

Just the Stars second win on the road this season, they win 4-3 over the Penguins on Friday night.

Casey DeSmith took the loss in net, stopping 25.

Bad loss considering Texas is last in the Central and that division is in an entirely different conference.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 5-2

It was a night of firsts for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins as Matt Abt, Oula Palve and Anthony Angello all bagged their first goals of the season as the Penguins beat the Sound Tigers 5-2. For Palve and Abt, it was their first AHL goals of their careers. Hell, for good measure, Chase Berger participated in his first AHL fight as well with Parker Wotherspoon in the third period.

With the win, the Penguins stay tied with the Providence Bruins for tops in the Atlantic and go 9-2-1-1 in the month of November. They are normally good in December, so consider it a head start.

RAPID RECAP – Pens LOSE 1-0

They had 8 shots through the second, tried to get them all back in the third, pushed and pushed in the third, fell into penalty trouble and Chase Priskie’s power play snipe late on stood up as the game winner. Charlotte snaps the Penguins six game win streak. 22 saves for Alex Nedeljkovic with a shutout. Dustin Tokarski stopped 26.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 2-1

Feels like they could have lost this one.

As close as you like for a game, Pens win 2-1 on goals from Sam Miletic in the first and David Warsofsky in the third. 31 saves from Dustin Tokarski. Pens fifth win in a row, allowed just three away goals during the home stand.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 4-1

They are rolling.

Penguins win 4-1 over Springfield. Two goals by Andrew Agozzino in the first, a hell of a penalty kill display in the second and 41 saves by Casey DeSmith.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 2-0

Another close one. This time, no comeback needed because Casey DeSmith was dialed in and stopped all 35 Syracuse shots sent his way. Pens win 2-0 off goals from Andrew Agozzino in the first and a shorthanded goal as Syracuse was pressing in the third by Zach Trotman.

Lots more in a bit.

RAPID RECAP – Pens WIN 5-4 (OT)

Misdirection by the head coach, more penalty killing woes, an OT hero in the form of Joseph Cramarossa who has two goals and the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins scrap with the San Antonio Rampage and win 5-4 in overtime.

Lots more in a bit.
