Chirps from Center Ice

A fan blog about the AHL's Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins

Really Bad Pictures

I have an iPhone with a camera on it. I was in Atlantic City and took pictures on it. The following are what I took.

WARNING: These pictures are really bad. I am no professional photographer. If you really want to look at some bad pictures, you can do so after the jump. If not, you may know by now that the West beat the East last night in the All Star Classic 8-7 in a shootout. Peoria’s Ben Bishop was named MVP for stopping all East Division shooters (Syracuse’s Kyle Palmieri, Norfolk’s Cory Conacher, Hershey’s Keith Aucoin and Wilkes-Barre / Scranton’s Colin McDonald) in a shootout.

Wow, you are brave enough to look at my bad pictures. Thanks, I guess.

This is the front of Boardwalk Hall. Obviously not all of Boardwalk Hall, where the All Star festivities were held, just a close up.

This is obviously Center Ice at Boardwalk Hall, my seats are across the ice, three rows up.

At the Skills Competition, the Eastern Conference is introduced. In the upper left hand of the picture, is one of my fingers.

Here is the Western Conference. More of my finger is seen. Like I said, these pictures are REALLY bad.

We are already out of sequence, as this picture was taken before intros.

This is the St. John’s IceCaps mascot Buddy the Puffin and I. This was taken before the All Star Game.

Out of sequence again, but this was the first intermission “mascot hockey” segment that I love so much. At one point, all of the mascot’s “Tebow’d”

Eastern Conference All Star introductions. Notice that my finger is no where to be located. I am getting better, I think.

Western Conference intros.

Meet Chilly, the Houston Aeros mascot. For some strange reason, he takes all of his mascot clothes off in all of the All Star games I have been to.

Okay, this photo may not actually be my fault. The Eastern Conference all lined up for a picture but they had their backs turned to me. This was after the game, obviously.

Same thing with the West. Ben Bishop was being interviewed by television at the time, so he is not seen towering over everyone.

So that’s that. I want to apologize to any professional photographer who lost their last meal eaten throwing up seeing all of these out of focus, horrible pictures. Why did I do this again?

Regular content returns to the blog most likely tomorrow or Wednesday.

Let’s Go Pens!
