Why You Should Care: Stay out of the box. The Penguins can’t afford to let San Antonio strike them for three power play goals like they did Friday night. Otherwise at even strength, the Penguins were the better team. Special teams has to be the focus of improvement tonight.

Why You Should Care: Penguins come in to the weekend off of a bad loss Wednesday in Binghamton against a team in San Antonio they haven’t seen in ten years. San Antonio themselves are coming off of a bad weekend in Tucson where they got pushed around a bit, so both teams are going to want to establish a tone early to get the upper hand early on.

GAMEDAY: @ Bridgeport 10/19

@

Who: Bridgeport Sound Tigers

Where: Webster Bank Arena

When: 7:00 p.m.

Last Game: Wednesday at home against Binghamton, Stefan Noesen scored two late third period goals to lift the Penguins past the Devils 5-3. For Bridgeport, the Sound Tigers were in Charlotte last Saturday and lost 4-1. Arnaud Durandeau scored the only goal for Bridgeport in the loss.

Referees: Furman South / Mike Sullivan

Linesmen: Derek Wahl / Petr Hejna

Why You Should Care: Penguins have one game on the weekend and this is it. They looked good in the second half of the game Wednesday against Binghamton, does that trend continue? Bridgeport is a better team that their record shows and this is their home opener, how greased up are the Sound Tigers for action tonight?

Listen: Nick Hart on the call on WILK.

Watch: AHLTV is back for another season and better than ever.

Other Game to Watch: Springfiled has been on a good run, they take on Lehigh Valley in Allentown tonight.

Next Five Games: @ BNG 10/23, vs. SA 10/25, vs. SA 10/26, @ LV 11/1, @ SPR 11/2

GAMEDAY: vs. Binghamton 10/16

vs.

Who: Binghamton Devils

Where: Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza

When: 7:05 p.m.

Last Game: Wilkes-Barre was in Hershey on Sunday and lost 4-1. Niclas Almari scored the only goal for the Pens on a late third period power play. For Binghamton, the Devils were in Belleville, Onatrio on Saturday and lost in overtime 5-4. Chris Conner had a goal and two assists in the losing effort.

Referees: Peter Schlittenhardt / Anthony Tapper

Linesmen: Patrick Dapuzzo / Ryan Knapp

Why You Should Care: Penguins need some type of response after coming away from a three in three weekend last weekend with just one point. Binghamton is the opponent tonight and I’m not expecting the Devils to make it easy for Wilkes-Barre. Should be a good competitive midweek game between these I-81 rivals.

Listen: Nick Hart on the call on WILK.

Watch: AHLTV is back for another season and better than ever.

Other Game to Watch: Hershey visits Toronto. This is an excellent test for Hershey, going up against a very good, undefeated Marlies team.

Referees: Patrick Hanrahan / Alex Ross

Linesmen: Colin Gates / Richard Jondo

Why You Should Care: Looking to close out the weekend on a positive note and in the win column, the Penguins head to Hershey for another date with the Bears. We liked what we say from the Pens Saturday night against the Comets, so applying that this afternoon against a Bears team is going to be crucial.

Listen: Nick Hart on the call on WILK.

Watch: AHLTV is back for another season and better than ever.

Other Game to Watch: Springfield visits Providence this afternoon in the only other divisional action this Sunday.

Why You Should Care: Penguins had a very poor effort last night in Allentown. Utica comes in rested having not played last night. Expect a shakeup on defense for Wilkes-Barre as they host their opener in front of an amped up crowd.
