Last Game: Monday in Game 4, the Penguins went to 4-0 n overtime this postseason with a 2-1 overtime win against the Hershey Bears. Kael Mouillierat scored the overtime game winner with Tristan Jarry stopping 22 of 23 shots.

What to watch for: Physicality. The series physical side is just now starting to wear through four games in to a best of seven series. The Penguins need to continue doing what they were doing in Game 4 if they want to match the same result in Game 5. Will Dominik Simon make a return?

Last Game: Last night in Hershey in Game 2 the Pens lost 2-0. Justin Peters had a 27 save shutout. Sean Collins scored shorthanded and then Carter Camper scored on the next shot of the game that made it 2-0.

What to watch for: First goal wins tonight, right? Both teams have been shutout so far in this series. The Pens still have home ice in this series and must take advantage tonight in Game 3. You can argue that the Penguins have been the better team in the series and not be wrong.

Last Game: Wednesday in Game 1 at Hershey the Penguins won 4-0. It was their 1o0th postseason win and the shut out of the Bears was the first time they ever blanked the Bears in the postseason in franchise history. It was only the second time that the Penguins had ever won at Giant Center in the playoffs. Daniel Sprong scored twice, Casey DeSmith made 33 saves.

What to watch for: Adjustments for the Bears. Will we see Dan Ellis in net tonight for Hershey? How many lineup changes to they make? The Bears, with home ice and the Division Champions, will be playing as the more desperate team because they do not want to fall in an 0-2 hole as the series shifts to Wilkes-Barre Saturday at Monday for Games 4 and 5.

How the Bears got here: The defeated the Portland Pirates in five games.

How the Penguins got here: They swept the Providence Bruins in three games.

What to watch for: A quick start for the rested Penguins. Jump all over the Bears, go up two or more goals after the first period and grind Hershey down and steal home ice in the first game of the series. Wilkes-Barre will need to accomplish this without Steve Oleksy and Tom Sestito, who were recalled to Pittsburgh Tuesday afternoon.

Last Game: Thursday in Game 2 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins took a commanding 2-0 series lead against the second seed Bruins with another overtime win. This time it was rookie Daniel Sprong doing the honors for the Penguins, scoring his second goal of the game.

What to watch for: Changes for Providence. Expect Zane McIntyre in goal for the Bruins and changes defensively and at forward for the once favored Bruins, who are playing for their playoff lives tonight. I wouldn’t expect any changes for Wilkes-Barre and that includes in goal, where I expect Casey DeSmith to get the start over Tristan Jarry. Wilkes-Barre just needs to continue to do what they have been doing all series long and not get complacent. Once again, expect Providence’s best tonight as they try to extend this series to a Game 4 Monday.

Last Game: Last night in Game 1 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens won in overtime 3-2. Carter Rowney scored at 1:09 of the overtime period to give the Penguins the win and the 1-0 series lead. He also added an assist.

What to watch for: An all out Providence offensive assault. The Penguins played like the better team last night, playing well with the lead for long stretches yesterday. They got beat on a miscommunication for the first goal against and shorthanded for their second. Other than that, the only reason the Penguins didn’t win in regulation was because they didn’t score five goals. Expect Providence to bring it tonight in a big way. Pens better be ready.

What to watch for: Penguins defense vs. Providence’s offense. One is going to win here tonight and that will decide this game and probably the series. The Penguins must contain the high potent Providence offense if they want to start this series the right way.
