Last Game: Wednesday in Allentown, the Penguins shutout the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 3-0. Tristan Jarry collected his second straight shutout and the Penguins as a team recorded their third consecutive shutout which is a franchise record. For Toronto, they were in Binghamton taking on the Senators and won 3-2. Zach Hyman scored the game winning goal and was named the first star of the game

Record: For WBS: 20-5-0-0 (40 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For TOR: 21-5-2-0 (44 pts., 1st place North Division)

Why you should care: Tonight is a battle of the two best teams in the American Hockey League. The Penguins and Marlies matchup is deep, and this should be a hell of a game as well as a stiff test for both teams.

Why you should care: It will be a bit of a new look for the Penguins with Steve Oleksy out of the lineup and Conor Sheary, Kevin Porter and Matt Murray on recall to Pittsburgh. The Phantoms will be out to avenge their 4-0 shutout to the Penguins last Friday.

Last Game: Last night in Allentown, the Penguins beat the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 4-0. Matt Murray had a 23 save shutout and Dominik Simon and Scott Wilson both had a pair of goals. For Albany, the Devils won their seventh straight game, beating the Syracuse Crunch 3-1. The Devils have not lost since losing to the Penguins…

Last Meeting: 5-3 on November 21 in Albany. Scott Wilson had two goals and Tristan Jarry stopped 25 of 28.

Record: For WBS: 18-5-0-0 (36 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For ALB: 16-4-3-0 (35 pts., 2nd place North Division)

Why you should care: This is going to be a good game. I get the sense that this may be an instant classic between these two teams. The Devils have never won more than five games in a row as a team and have the look this season of a contender. I don’t think there is any doubt that the Penguins are a force, so I expect this game to be a closely contested one for all sixty minutes, if not beyond.

Last Game: Wednesday at home the Penguins beat the Syracuse Crunch 6-2. Dominik Simon had two goals. For Lehigh Valley, they hosted the Hershey Bears and overcame a 0-2 deficit and won 3-2 in overtime. Nick Cousins scored the game winner.

Last Meeting: Last Friday in Wilkes-Barre the Pens lost to the Phantoms 3-1. Conor Sheary scored the only goal for the Penguins in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 17-5-0-0 (34 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For LV: 12-12-1-0 (25 pts., 4th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Wilkes-Barre visits Lehigh Valley for the very first time this season in Allentown looking to get revenge on what happened last Friday which was a forgettable weekend for the Penguins all around. Expect a better effort from the Penguins today.

Last Game: Sunday in Hershey, the Pens lost to the Bears 4-1. This was the third loss in a row in a three in three weekend where the Penguins only scored three goals total. For Syracuse, the Crunch were shutout in Albany Sunday by the Devils.

Record: For WBS: 16-5-0-0 (32 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For SYR: 10-8-2-1 (23 pts., 4th place North Division)

Why you should care: Both teams are coming off of bad losses. The Crunch have been crushed by personnel losses and injuries and the Penguins uncharacteristically lost all three games this past weekend with a lineup the strongest it has ever been. Expect the Penguins to come out a lot sharper than they were this past weekend, if not sharper than they have been all season. This is a game the Penguins simply cannot lose.

Last Game: Yesterday at home the Penguins lost their second straight game on home ice to the Hartford Wolf Pack by a score of 3-1. Conor Sheary scored the only goal for the Pens in the loss for the second straight night. For the Bears they hosted the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and won 2-1. Chris Bourque scored with 20 seconds left in regulation to win the game for Hershey.

Last Meeting: November 28 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins won 3-2 for their tenth straight home win. J-S Dea had a power play goal and was named the games first star.

Record: For WBS: 16-4-0-0 (32 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For HER: 11-6-0-5 (27 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Pens try to salvage the weekend with a strong showing this evening in Hershey. The Bears games this weekend haven’t come easy for them either, but they have a shootout loss (Friday to Hartford) and a win yesterday to the Phantoms to show for it. The Penguins are in on a two game losing streak.

Last Game: Last night vs. Lehigh Valley the Penguins were dealt their first loss on home ice all season with a 3-1 setback to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Conor Sheary had a first period goal. For Hartford, they hosted Hershey last night and won 4-3 in a shootout. Chad Nehring had a goal and an assist for second star honors.

Last Meeting: November 15 in Hartford, the Penguins were down 5-1 after 20 minutes but stormed back for five straight goals before winning in overtime 7-6 in an improbable comeback. Scott Wilson was named first star with two goals and an assist. One of those goals was the overtime game winner.

Record: For WBS: 16-3-0-0 (32 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division) — For HFD: 9-11-2-0 (20 pts., 6th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins, by their standards, had a terrible game last night against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Look for them to come out with vim and vigor against a Hartford team that has won just two of their last five games.
