Last Game / Last Meeting: Last night, the Penguins beat the Admirals 4-2. Andrew Ebbett scored two goals for Wilkes-Barre in his return to the lineup since November.

Why you should care: Penguins look to close out the weekend with a sweep of the Admirals. Last night was far from a cakewalk for the Pens and you know that the Admirals will be out for revenge and wanting to split the weekend.

Last Game: Sunday in Providence, the Penguins lost 5-4. Scott Wilson scored two goals and added an assist. For St. John’s, they hosted the Portland Pirates on Saturday and won 3-2 in overtime. Carl Klingberg netted the overtime game winner.

Last Meeting: November 29 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins won 1-0. Matt Murray had a 22 save shutout and J-S Dea had the goal for the Penguins in the win.

Record: For WBS: 20-17-1-3 (44 pts., 2nd place East Division) — For STJ: 17-19-5-1 (40 pts., 5th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Alright. Penguins are not hitting the panic button yet, but if they go another game and come away with no points, they are going to start looking for the directions to the panic button. St. John’s plays better than their record indicates.

Last Game: Last night in Worcester, the Penguins were shutout by the Sharks 4-0. The P-Bruins were in Manchester last night and lost in overtime 2-1. Brian Ferlin scored the only goal for the Bruins in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 20-16-1-3 (44 pts., 2nd place East Division) — For PRO: 18-16-5-1 (42 pts., 4th place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Penguins have gotten by with subpar efforts for long enough and managed to stay ahead of the East Division. But they have been passed by the Hershey Bears and now have to keep pace. Last night was last night, today is a new day. The Penguins are in Providence facing off against the equally struggling Bruins. Be the better team should be the theme this afternoon.

Last Game: Last Saturday in Syracuse, the Penguins lost 4-3. Jayson Megna scored two goals in the loss. For Worcester, the Sharks hosted the Manchester Monarchs last night and won in the shootout 5-4. The Sharks battled back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits against the Atlantic Division leading Monarchs.

Record: For WBS: 20-15-1-3 (44 pts., 1st place East Division) — For WOR: 18-14-3-2 (41 pts., 3rd place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins should have an advantage tonight in Worcester with this being their first game this week and the Sharks playing two tough battles with division leading Manchester. Last night’s contest ended after 10 o’clock. But don’t expect it to be. Worcester is all of a sudden really hot team and the Penguins come in with question marks given losses in the last four contests. Should make for an interesting night.
