Last Game: Last night in Binghamton, the Penguins were shutout by the Senators by a score of 3-0. For Bridgeport, they shutout the Providence Bruins 2-0. Kevin Poulin had a 34 save shutout.

Last Meeting: December 12 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins won 4-1. Bryan Rust took home first star honors with two goals.

Record: For WBS: 11-11-1-2 (37 pts., 1st place East Division) — For BRI: 14-11-3-1 (32 pts., 5th place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: Depleted Penguins lineup takes on a Bridgeport team coming off of a shutout last night at home vs. Providence. Do the Pens have what it takes to come home with two points?

Last Game / Last Meeting: Last Saturday in Binghamton, the Penguins shutout the B-Sens 3-0. Alex Boak had a goal and an assist and Jeff Zatkoff made 35 saves.

Record: For WBS: 17-10-1-2 (37 pts., 1st place East Division) — For BNG: 12-13-2-1 (27 pts., 4th place East Division)

Why you should care: Penguins take on the B-Sens marred by more injuries up top to Pittsburgh. Jeff Zatkoff and Dominik Uher were recalled this week. If these two don’t return, the Penguins will need to copy last Saturday’s effort again. But with a group of more players unfamiliar with one another, it may be a difficult task.

Last Game: Last night at home against Albany, the Pens lost 4-2. Conor Sheary and Derrick Pouliot scored in the losing effort. For Binghamton, the B-Sens lost 6-5 to the Springfield Falcons. Binghamton was up 4-1 at one point. Defenseman Danny New had a goal and an assist for Bingo in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 16-10-1-2 (35 pts., 1st place East Division) — For BNG: 12-12-2-1 (27 pts., 4th place East Division)

Why you should care: Both teams coming off bad losses last night. Binghamton is slipping, having lost three straight and the Penguins are dealing with slight adversity looking awful on the penalty kill last night against Albany. It may be a game of who wants it more.

Last Game: Last night in Allentown against the Phantoms, the Pens lost in a shootout 2-1. J-S Dea had the only goal for the Pens in the loss. For Hershey, reigning AHL Player of the Week Chirs Conner stayed hot with a goal and three assists as the Bears defeated the Binghamton Senators by a score of 5-2.

Record: For WBS: 15-9-1-2 (33 pts., 1st place East Division) — For HER: 14-10-1-1 (30 pts., 2nd place East Division)

Why you should care: If the Penguins can close out the weekend with against Hershey today, it would bloat the lead over the Bears to five points. A loss would mean a point separates the Penguins and Bears for the division lead.

Lats Game: Last night at home vs. Bridgeport, the Pens won 4-1. They scored two power play goals. Bryan Rust had two goals. For Lehigh Valley, they lost last night in Binghamton 3-1. Zack Stortini scored the only goal for the Phantoms in the loss.

Last Meeting: December 5 in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins won 5-1. Tom Kostopoulos scored two goals.

Record: For WBS: 15-9-1-1 (32 pts., 1st place East Division) — For LV: 10-10-2-1 (23 pts., 4th place East Division)

Why you should care: Trap game for the Penguins. They eked out a win in Hershey Sunday against the Bears in Hershey that snapped an eight game losing streak and put the Pens atop the East Division again. They handled the Sound Tigers top ranked power play and scored two goals on the man advantage themselves. If the Penguins think they can sleepwalk through this game in Allentown tonight against the Phantoms, they will be in for a surprise.
