Last Game / Last Meeting: Last night in Wilkes-Barre, the Bears won 2-1. Chris Conner had both goals for the Bears and Bryan Rust scored for the Penguins.

Record: For WBS: 13-9-1-1 (28 pts., 2nd place East Division) — For HER: 13-8-1-1 (28 pts., 1st place East Division)

Why you should care: Penguins have lost eight straight in Hershey. That trend ends today with a mix of the offense showed Friday against Lehigh Valley and the discipline exhibited last night against these same Bears.

Last Game: Last night at home vs. Lehigh Valley, the Pens won 5-1. Tom Kostopoulos had two goals and was named first star of the game. For Hershey, the Bears hosted the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and won 6-3. Stan Galiev scored the first two goals of the game for the Bears.

Last Meeting: Thanksgiving Eve in Hershey, the Pens lost in a shootout, 2-1. Brian Dumoulin had a last minute, extra attacker goal that guaranteed the Penguins at least a point.

Record: For WBS: 13-8-1-1 (28 pts., 1st place East Division) — For HER: 12-8-1-1 (26 pts., 2nd place East Division)

Why you should care: Last night the Penguins impressed with a lineup bereft of the leading scorers and won in impressive fashion with arguably their best game of the year played to date. A duplication of the process is going to be needed this night vs. the rival Bears who are just two points off the East Division lead Wilkes-Barre owns.

Last Game: Saturday at home against the St. John’s IceCaps, the Penguins won 1-0. J-S Dea scored the goal and Matt Murray had 22 saves for the shutout. For Lehigh Valley, the Phantoms beat Norfolk last Saturday at home by a score of 4-3. Blair Jones had two goals and an assist and was named first star of the game.

Last Meeting: November 14 in Wilkes-Barre, the Pens won 3-1. Scott Wilson had a goal and an assist in the win.

Record: For WBS: 12-8-1-1 (26 pts., 1st place East Division) — For LV: 9-8-2-0 (20 pts., 4th place East Division)

Why you should care: Revamped Wilkes-Barre lineup with injuries up top and call-ups made, but don’t use that as an excuse. The Penguins will roll into this game tonight ready to play and ready to win.

Last Game: Wednesday in Hershey the Penguins lost in a shootout 2-1. Brian Dumoulin had the goal for the Pens in the loss. For St. John’s, the IceCaps were in Binghamton Wednesday and came back to win in a shootout by a score of 4-3. John Albert and Chase Balisy both had a goal and an assist in the win for St. John’s.

Last Meeting: October 18 in St. John’s, the Pens won 4-1. Scott Wilson had a goal and an assist for the Pens in the win.

Record: For WBS: 11-8-1-1 (24 pts., 5th place East Division) — For STJ: 9-8-4-1 (23 pts., 2nd place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: Penguins come into this game without top two forwards Jayson Megna and Andrew Ebbett on recall to Pittsburgh. They only managed one goal in Hershey on Wednesday, where will the goals come from tonight?

Last Game: Saturday at home vs. Manchester, the Pens lost 3-2. J-S Dea and Conor Sheary both notched power play goals in the defeat. For Hershey, the Bears were shut out at home against the St. John’s IceCaps by a score of 2-0.

Last Meeting: November 16 in Hershey, the Bears won 3-2. Jayson Megna had both goals for the Penguins in the loss.

Record: For WBS: 11-8-1-0 (23 pts., 1st place East Division) — For HER: 9-7-1-1 (20 pts., 2nd place East Division)

Why you should care: Penguins and Bears meet on a Thanksgiving Eve game important to both teams. The bears want to beat the Penguins and draw within a point of the East Division lead with two games in hand. The Penguins would like to win tonight because that increases the lead over Hershey to five points and takes the games in hand equation out of the picture. And it’s always nice to beat the Bears.

Other Game to Watch: I am going out West with Iowa visiting Rockford. Since firing their coach, the Wild have improved vastly. Rockford is one of the hottest teams in the AHL. Should be a good measuring stick game for Iowa.

Last Game: Last night in Albany, the Penguins won 5-1. Jayson Megna and Scott Wilson both recorded a goal and an assist each in the win. For Manchester, the Monarchs were in Binghamton last night and lost 4-3 in overtime. Nick Shore had two goals and Brian O’Neill had two assists.

Record: For WBS: 11-7-1-0 (23 pts., 1st place East Division) — For MCH: 11-4-1-0 (23 pts., 1st place Atlantic Division)

Why you should care: These two teams are two of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference and both are unsurprisingly at top of the Conference. Both teams have won eight of their last ten games. So expect a very good game tonight in Wilkes-Barre.

Record: For WBS: 10-7-1-0 (21 pts., 1st place East Division) — For ALB: 7-4-1-3 (18 pts., 4th place Northeast Division)

Why you should care: The Penguins are looking for revenge against an Albany team that roughed them up pretty good exactly one month ago. It’s going to take another great effort for the Penguins to come home with the two points.
